DEMON BLUE is a mischievous little devil trapped in an underground world of
adventure and mystery. Journey through screen after screen of exotic
landscapes filled with strange and beautiful monsters. Help DEMON BLUE find
the keys that will allow him to escape and return to his own world. It's the
weirdest arcade adventure you've ever seen.
STARTING DEMON BLUE
When you first load DEMON BLUE, you will see the Options menu. Type [2] to
calibrate your joystick, if you are using one. Move the joystick, up, down,
left, and right, pressing the [FIRE] button after each direction. You will
then return to the menu.
Press [1] to access the option screens. Select video mode by
pressing [1] for EGA or [2] for VGA. To select control mode, type
[1] for keyboard, [2] for digital joystick, or [3] for analog joystick.
To select sound mode, press [1] for PC speaker, [2] for Ad Lib, or [3]
for Sound Blaster.
When you see the title screen, press the spacebar or the [FIRE] button to
begin the game. To quit the game at any time, press [ESC] to move to the
high score screen. Then press [ESC] again to return to DOS.
KEYBOARD & JOYSTICK CONTROLS
If you're playing from the keyboard, use the arrow keys to move
and the spacebar to fire.
[Left arrow] Run left
[Right arrow] Run right
[Left + Down arrows] Run left fast
[Right + Down arrows] Run right fast
[FIRE] Jump
[F1] Pause
[F2] Resume
[ESC] Return to title screen
Run left and right and jump to move from screen to screen. Try
to avoid most of the monsters, since you have no defense against
them. Some plants, gems, and other stationary objects can be
collected to score points. Pots labeled "E" will replenish your
energy. The object is to find at least six keys and return to the
exit.
The bars along the bottom of the screen indicate how much
energy you have. If the bars turn entirely black, the game is over
and the high score screen is displayed. Press [FIRE] to play again
or [ESC] to return to DOS.
